Recording Session Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

At Red Velvet Studios, we respect and value both our time and our clients’ time. Booking studio time/recording sessions is the same as making a reservation. To maintain fairness and efficiency, we have established the following policy:

  1. Session Scheduling:

    • All booking times must be discussed and scheduled at an agreed upon time by both parties at least 12 hours in advance to secure your time slot.

  2. Cancellation & Rescheduling:

    • If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, you must notify us at least 6 hours before your scheduled time.
    • Yes, you can reschedule, but the $100 cancellation fee must be paid first if the notice is given late.

  3. Late Cancellations, No-Shows & Late Arrivals:

    • Cancelling with less than 8 hours’ notice is inconsiderate of our time and the opportunity for another artist to book that slot.
    • Late cancellations will result in a $100 fee for the inconvenience and wasted studio time.
    • If cancellation notice is not given within 8 hours of the session, we will invoice you for the cancellation fee, and you will not be able to book or reschedule another session until the fee is paid.
    • Each time you cancel or reschedule with insufficient notice, this penalty will apply—no exceptions.
    • If you are 1 hour late to your session, we have the right to cancel the session entirely, and the $100 fee will still apply.
    • No-shows or repeated last-minute cancellations may result in loss of future booking privileges.

  4. Project Cancellation Policy:

      • If an artist cancels or reschedules their session late 3 times, we reserve the right to cancel their project and discontinue working with them.
      • This policy is in place to ensure that our time and resources are dedicated to serious artists who respect the studio’s schedule.
      • If a project is canceled due to repeated violations of this policy, the artist will not receive any refunds for payments made toward their project.
      • Any outstanding balances or fees must still be paid.
