At Red Velvet Studios, we are committed to providing every artist with a professional, organized, and creative recording experience. To ensure that studio time is reserved fairly and every project receives the attention it deserves, the following policies apply to all recording sessions, music production, and creative services.

A required deposit must be paid at the time of booking and scheduling your session. Studio time cannot be held, reserved, or confirmed until the required deposit or payment has been received.

By booking a session or beginning a project with Red Velvet Studios, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions.

Booking Your Session

An initial non-refundable deposit is required to book any recording session, studio time, music production, or creative service.

The required deposit is due immediately at the time of booking and scheduling your appointment. Until the deposit has been received, your requested session date and time remain available to other clients and are not reserved or guaranteed.

For most hourly studio sessions, the required deposit is 50% of the total session cost, with the remaining balance due at the conclusion of the session unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

For studios or services requiring payment in full—such as the Hollywood Hills Studio Day Rate—the entire balance is due at the time of booking to reserve the date.

No recording session, production work, or appointment is considered scheduled, reserved, or confirmed until the required deposit or full payment has been successfully received.

Studio availability is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Studio Rates

Studio rates vary depending on the studio location selected for your session. Each location offers different amenities, equipment, and pricing.

Mid City Studio

• Hourly Rate: $65/hour
• Minimum Booking: 2 hours
• Example Session Total: $130
• Deposit Due at Booking (50%): $65
• Remaining Balance Due at Session: $65

Melrose Studio

• Hourly Rate: $125/hour
• Minimum Booking: 2 hours
• Example Session Total: $250
• Deposit Due at Booking (50%): $125
• Remaining Balance Due at Session: $125

Hollywood Studio

• Hourly Rate: $400/hour
• Minimum Booking: 2 hours
• Sessions are billed according to the number of hours reserved.
• A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.
• The remaining balance is due before or at the conclusion of the session unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Hollywood Hills Studio (Day Rate Only)

• Day Rate: $600 per day
• Hourly bookings are not available at this location.
• The Hollywood Hills Studio is available by full-day reservation only.
• Payment in full ($600) is required at the time of booking.
• Because the entire day is reserved exclusively for your project, the full payment is non-refundable once the reservation has been confirmed.

Studio rates are subject to change. The quoted rate at the time your reservation is confirmed will apply to your booking.

Studio Recording Session Rates

The recording session rates listed above are studio rental and recording session rates only. These rates cover the reservation and use of the recording studio during your scheduled session.

Studio recording rates do not automatically include additional creative or production services.

If you would like Red Velvet Studios to provide services beyond recording studio time, additional fees may apply depending on the scope of your project.

Additional services may include, but are not limited to:

• Music Production
• Beat Production
• Vocal Production
• Songwriting
• Mixing
• Mastering
• Editing
• Vocal Tuning
• Instrument Recording
• Session Musicians
• Arrangement
• Sound Design
• Additional Engineering
• File Preparation
• Other creative or production services

Because every project is unique, these services are quoted separately from your studio recording session.

If additional work is requested before, during, or after your recording session, Red Velvet Studios will provide a separate quote outlining the scope of work, pricing, payment schedule, and estimated completion timeline before the work begins.

No additional production or creative services will be performed without client approval of the quoted work.

Minimum Studio Booking

All hourly studio sessions require a minimum booking of two (2) hours.

Sessions cannot be booked for less than the required minimum.

Deposits & Reserved Studio Time

Your deposit is not simply a payment—it is a reservation of our time and schedule.

When you reserve a session, Red Velvet Studios sets aside studio time, engineering resources, equipment, producers, and staff exclusively for your appointment. During your reserved time, we are unable to accept another client for that same time slot.

For this reason, all deposits are non-refundable.

Your deposit compensates the studio for reserving your appointment and committing our schedule to your project.

Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds

All deposits and day-rate payments are non-refundable.

Once a session or project has been booked, appointments cannot be canceled for a refund.

If you need to change your appointment, you must request to reschedule at least five (5) calendar days before your scheduled session.

Rescheduling requests are subject to studio availability and approval.

Requests made fewer than five (5) calendar days before the scheduled appointment may be denied and may result in the forfeiture of your deposit.

If you fail to attend your scheduled appointment (a no-show), your deposit will be forfeited.

A new deposit will be required before another session can be scheduled.

Late Arrival Policy

Clients are expected to arrive on time for their scheduled session.

If you arrive late, your session will still end at its originally scheduled end time unless additional studio time is available and separately booked.

Late arrivals do not extend your reserved session or entitle you to additional unpaid or unbilled studio time.

For example:

If you reserve a session from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM but arrive at 2:45 PM, your session will still conclude at 4:00 PM unless additional studio time is available and purchased.

The reserved time that has passed cannot be recovered because the studio, engineer, and staff were already reserved and available during your scheduled appointment.

Music Production Projects

Music production projects often extend well beyond scheduled recording sessions.

Work may begin immediately after your project has been booked and may include:

• Project planning
• Songwriting consultation
• Beat production
• Arrangement
• Recording preparation
• Vocal production
• Editing
• Mixing
• Mastering
• File management
• Communication and consultations
• Other creative work performed outside scheduled studio sessions

Because work may begin immediately after your deposit has been received, production deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced.

If a client decides to discontinue a production project after work has begun, the initial deposit will be forfeited. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the client will not be responsible for paying the remaining balance for unfinished work.

Producer Agreement

Depending on the scope of the project, Red Velvet Studios may require clients to sign a Producer Agreement before work begins.

The Producer Agreement helps establish a clear understanding between all parties and may include, but is not limited to:

• Scope of services
• Payment schedule
• Project expectations
• Producer credits
• Songwriting splits
• Publishing splits
• Master ownership
• Royalty participation
• Ownership of recordings
• Ownership of project files
• Delivery of completed materials
• Additional agreed-upon terms and conditions

When required, production work will not begin until the agreement has been signed by all applicable parties.

Final Payment

Unless otherwise agreed upon in writing, the remaining balance is due before the delivery of any completed work, including but not limited to:

• Final masters
• Session files
• Stems
• Instrumentals
• Multitrack recordings
• Project assets
• Any other completed materials

Red Velvet Studios reserves the right to withhold all completed work until all outstanding balances have been paid in full.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

• Arriving on time for scheduled sessions.
• Providing accurate contact information.
• Communicating scheduling changes as early as possible.
• Paying all deposits and remaining balances when due.
• Respecting studio staff, equipment, and facilities.
• Complying with all studio policies communicated before or during the session.

Failure to comply with these responsibilities may result in the cancellation of your session or refusal of future bookings.
