About the Opportunity

Red Velvet Studios is building a Music & Content Intern Talent Pool for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in the music and media industry.

This is not a traditional schedule with a fixed weekly commitment. Instead, selected applicants will be added to our internal roster and contacted when we need additional support for a specific day, production, or event.

Benefits: If accepted, you may be invited to exclusive events, shoots, studio sessions, and other unique opportunities, allowing you to experience and be part of exciting moments in the music and entertainment industry.

When opportunities arise, we will reach out ahead of time to see who is available and interested in participating. There is no required weekly schedule, making this a flexible opportunity for individuals who want to gain real-world experience while building their portfolio.

Responsiveness:

We need team members who respond quickly. When we ask if you are available for certain dates or times, you must let us know as soon as possible and not keep us waiting for final confirmation and decisions.

If we text or email you, we expect a timely response. Clear and prompt communication is a critical part of being part of this team.

Availability Requirements

Flexibility is a must for this position. Events and gigs can take place on weekdays, weekends, and evenings, so applicants must be able to accommodate a varied and sometimes unpredictable schedule. You will generally be notified at least one week in advance regarding the dates and times when your participation will be required. We do not expect individuals to attend or participate in events or sessions without reasonable prior notice, and last-minute requests will not be required.

Venues range from studios, clubs, and private residences to other event spaces, and hours can run anywhere from 9:00 AM through 1:00 AM. You should be comfortable working late nights when needed.

Typically, gigs will not exceed 4 hours at a time, however this is subject to change depending on the event. Applicants who have rigid schedules or limited availability may not be the right fit for this opportunity. The ideal candidate is someone who can adapt to last-minute bookings and is available across a wide window of days and times.

Industry Access & Real-World Experience

A major benefit of participating in the Red Velvet Studios intern program is the level of real industry exposure interns may receive.

As opportunities come up, interns may be invited to assist at or attend:

  • Private industry events
  • Music video shoots
  • Studio sessions
  • Live showcases/Live events
  • Red carpet events
  • Industry gatherings and parties

These environments are often invite-only or not open to the public, and may include artists, influencers, celebrity talent, producers, managers, record label representatives, and other professionals working in the entertainment industry.

Being present in these environments allows interns to:

  • Observe how real productions come together
  • Capture behind-the-scenes content for their portfolio
  • Build relationships with artists and creatives

Many careers in entertainment begin by building relationships and being present in the right rooms. The connections made during these experiences can sometimes lead to future collaborations, freelance opportunities, and even paid roles as interns continue growing their skills.

Because of this, strong communication skills and the ability to network professionally are extremely important. Interns should feel comfortable introducing themselves, interacting respectfully with artists and industry professionals, and representing the Red Velvet Studios brand in a professional manner.
