Founded in 2012, Red Velvet Studios is a Los Angeles–based boutique music studio focused on artist mentorship, development, and management. We work closely with artists to refine not only their sound, but their identity, direction, and long-term career strategy.

Our approach is hands-on and collaborative, guiding artists through every stage of growth — from early development to professional execution. Alongside mentorship, we provide high-level music production services including recording, mixing, and mastering, ensuring each artist’s vision is brought to life at an industry standard.

At Red Velvet Studios, we go beyond traditional studio work. We partner with artists to build sustainable careers, offering the structure, insight, and creative support needed to evolve with intention and confidence.

Joseph Brooks

With over 15 years of experience as a producer, engineer, music mentor, and artist manager, Joseph has collaborated with hundreds of artists across genres, earning a reputation for his sharp ear, strong leadership, and commitment to excellence. A graduate of the Musicians Institute’s esteemed Audio Engineering program — alma mater to artists like Anderson .Paak and Bishop Briggs — Joseph pairs his deep technical knowledge with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing to bring both creative and strategic insight to every project. Joseph graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Southern New Hampshire University, earning Dean’s List honors and achieving a GPA of 3.956. His early mentorship under Grammy-winning producer !llmind (Drake, J. Cole, Beyoncé, Kanye West) helped shape his approach: disciplined, intentional, and always artist-first. Since founding Red Velvet Studios in 2012, he has built a space where artists can thrive.
